Podcast 1 - What an experience!!!!

posted Sunday, 18 May 2008

I have completed my first podcast/video.  I had alot of fun completing my assignment,

although it took longer than expectedLaughing. The most difficult part was editing and

uploading it to the computer. It was great for me to have this experience now so that I

become an expert later. I will definate use this assignment in the classroom with my

students.

I created two versions of the same assignment, one is a podcast and

the other  is a video. The Podcast can be found on podomtic at

http://jackrich25.podOmatic.com/rss2.xml, and a video on mydeo

http://www.mydeo.com/videosavecopy.asp?ZID=82&CID=189089. I hope you enjoy

them both.

Hello Jackie,

You have a very detailed podcast and the vodcast as well on frying fish. Did you sing the soundtrack? Just wonder, many people are making their own music for podcasts these days. Your podcast with the pictures was very well done - I can see how you went step by step through the process to explain how the fish should be prepared. Most valuable, I believe, is that your experience will make you better at having kids do assignments using technology, especially podcasting. What did you use to record your audio? I noticed that you are using mydeo.com for the video - did you purchase time there? You can also upload the video portion to podomatic for free if you choose. Also, think about trying to put your video work on teachertube.com - again ,it is free and will be seen by a lot of teachers!

Jackie! I wasn't hungry before watching your video podcast but now I am! Mmm yum! I can tell that you definitely took time to plan this out with the pictures and your narration. I love the positivity in your voice and the "Twelve Tips on Terrific Tuesday." You added great details to the steps to make them easy to follow such as letting us know that oil "makes waves" when it is ready. Well done! You definitely made my Tuesday terrific ;)

Hi Jackie. Wow I really enjoyed your podcast! The song in the beginning was a really nice touch that got the listener ready to listen. The spoken part of your podcast sounded good as well. The way that you clearly organized it made it easy to understand and listen to. Small critique: I think you said "thongs" instead of "tongs". :) I also would've liked if you ended with a song also to let the listener know the podcast was done. Good job!

Jackie,

So smart of you to do this as both a video, and a podcast. I thought the video was very well done. Considering you said you were at a level 1 on the LoTi scale I was throughly impressed. I loved how you told the listeners what to expect prior to giving us the twelve tips. I too would have liked music at the end, but all in all it was very well done.
