I originally took this course thinking that I would learn some new things.
But I was not really excited because I did not really understand how
technology could be implemented or its importance. I was born in the 70's,
and i grew using technology at home, and a school. After taking this
course I realize that my experience with technology was minimal. So
prehaps I was nervous, and listened to all the new information placed
before me in these ten weeks.
For my fellow peers at Antioch I am known as the quiet one, who listens,
and observes. This class forced me to have numerous conversations with
my peers at home, at school, at work. I was fortunate to have so many
individuals in my network that could offer expertise without me having to
consult the teacher. There is no way I could have completed my
assignment without collaborating with my fellow peers. Some of the
assignments intimidated me but I received lots of help.
I would like to send a special thanks to all my peers for their help.
Antioch teaches us to communicate, and offers opportunities for
dialog.
So, to my professor How can you measure my learning? I think some of
it is evident on this blog. However a real test will be in the application next
year in my own classroom, and lesson planning. It is my hope that I will be
able to implement many of the things I learned from this class into my
curriculum. Most importantly I plan to CONTINUE to expose my friends, and
fellow teachers to what I have learned, and to build on my learning.
Thanks for everything.
